Maharashtra Industrial and Economic Development Association (MIEDA) was established to enhance the Economic and Industrial growth of the State. MIEDA strives to give high priority and monitors issues concerning governance to improve delivery mechanisms and redressal of grievances of various sectors, in close coordination with the State and Central Governments to make Maharashtra the preferred investment destination as well as a favoured State.

MIEDA puts efforts to achieve sustainable industrial growth by creating awareness and organising various activities. MIEDA encourages investment-friendly industrial policies, excellent infrastructure as well as a strong and productive human resource base. The Association also puts efforts for the revival of sick industries and SMEs and explores business opportunities for the existing entrepreneurs in Maharashtra.

MIEDA organises various promotional and developmental activities for improvement of infrastructure, industrial growth, skill development, Uninterrupted Power & Water supply, SME Development, Environmental Conservation, Tourism and other sectors in Maharashtra. MIEDA also provides research and survey reports to understand the opportunities and challenges for investment and developmental purpose and also remove the shortcomings.
